Kids for Peace

“I’m twelve, what can I do to help toward non-violence in the world?”

Kids for Peace is just for you.  It is designed to help you learn more about what causes conflict in the world and about what causes conflicts to become violent.

Beyond learning more about causes, kids can be a part of peace in the world in other ways too.  You can:

  • Hold a fundraiser and support the economic development efforts of the Peace Institute of the Rockies around the world
    • Lemonade Stand
    • Garage Sale
    • Read-a-thon
    • Or create your own!
  • Write a letter or email to the Peace Institute of the Rockies telling us about a region or country in the world that you have studied or are interested in.  Read about what the Peace Institute of the Rockies is doing in that region, or plans to do in the near future and about what is required in that setting in order to create a setting that will allow conflict to resolve without violence.
  •  Get your class or school involved.

A whole class can look at one country and each learn about what is needed in that country – not a school or a well – but what is needed to create long-term and sustainable capacity to resolve conflict non-violently.

A whole school can get involved in fundraising and in understanding what is needed and what it takes.
